It's designed for students seeking admission to Postgraduate design programs (M.Des) at some of India's premier institutes, including IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Delhi etc..
Key Details about CEED:
1. Eligibility Criteria:
-Age Limit: No Age Criteria.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates should have graduated or appearing in final year of Design, Engineering, Architecture, Art or Medical with a degree program of minimum 4 years.
- Number of Attempts: No attempt limit.
2. Exam Pattern:
- The exam is conducted in English.
- The duration of the exam is 3 hours.
- It is divided into two parts: Part A (computer-based) and Part B (drawing test).
- Part A: This section includes Numerical Answer Type (NAT), Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), and Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). It focuses on topics like Visualization and Spatial Ability, Observation and Design Sensitivity, Environmental and Social Awareness, Analytical and Logical Reasoning, Language, Creativity, and Design Thinking.

How to Prepare for CEED?
To excel in CEED, it is essential to adopt a comprehensive approach towards learning design and other aspects of the exam syllabus. This involves developing a range of skills, including visualization, spatial ability, observation, design sensitivity, environmental and social awareness, analytical and logical reasoning, as well as language and creativity.
To enhance your visualization and spatial ability, you can practice pictorial and diagrammatic questions that test your understanding of transformation and manipulation of 2D shapes and 3D objects, as well as their spatial relationships. For observation and design sensitivity, you can work on your ability to detect concealed properties in ordinary things, people, situations, and events.
Environmental and social awareness is also a crucial aspect of the exam, as it tests your general knowledge of environmental factors such as climate, population, water, vegetation, pollution, weather, natural resources, etc., and their implications on the design of products, images, infrastructure, and environment.
Analytical and logical reasoning skills are also important, as they enable you to discern patterns within qualitative or quantitative information. Finally, language and creativity skills are also essential, as they test your knowledge of English grammar and usage, reading comprehension, and vocabulary.
At D'Finite, we offer a comprehensive program that covers all of these areas to help you succeed in the exam. Our program is designed to provide you with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in CEED and achieve your goals.
